Stay Alert and Beware of Scams
AIA Hong Kong & Macau has been alerted to a phishing email sent by three fraudulent email addresses (creativefolks@my[.]beacons[.]email, zerlake@my[.]beacons[.]email and rovergt@my[.]beacons[.]email) on 7 November 2024. The email, with the subject line of "Refund Notification – HKD 4,476.50", contains a clickable URL (hxxps://bit[.]ly/3AkL76R) that redirects the recipient to a fraudulent website (hxxps://aljouf[.]com/[.]), which purports to be a webpage of our AIA+ app.
We also found two additional fraudulent websites (www[.]jmjc[.]cc and aiaplus[.]hk), posing as AIA corporate website asking customers to provide their login details, on 21 November 2024.
We want to emphasise that the mentioned emails and websites above have not been sent, created, operated, nor endorsed by AIA. We take this matter very seriously and have already reported to the police. We are actively coordinating with relevant law enforcement and regulatory authorities for further investigation. We reserve the right to pursue legal action.
