Where did the insured pass away?

 

You may submit the claim application to our AIA financial planner / your broker / independent financial adviser or send it to us at the following address:

HK: Customer Service Centre, 12/F, AIA Tower, 183 Electric Road, North Point, Hong Kong

Macau: Unit 201, 2F, AIA Tower​, Nos. 251A-301, Avenida Comercial de Macau, Macau

If you submit the claim application through AIA financial planner / your broker / independent financial adviser, you will receive a notification from the respective channel.
 
If you submit the claim application to us directly, you will receive a notification from us.

Once the claim is approved, you will receive the claim payment through the payment method you have chosen.

Certified true copy of ID card
Certified true copy of death certificate issued by authority
  • Hong Kong: Register of Death issued by the Births and Death Registry, the Immigration Department
Certified true copy of proof of deregistration of ID card / residence
  • China: deregistration proof of residence issued by the Public Security Bureau and/or deregistration of deceased's permanent resident registration card of deceased's Household Register with an official stamp

Certified True Copy is a true copy of the original document, certifying that it is consistent with the original document, certified by an authorised person

Who are authorised to verify the document?
If the primary document is issued by government department or statutory body in Hong Kong, AIA Financial Planner can verify the document.
If the primary document is issued by an institution in another country, please bring along the original document and visit Customer Service Centre for an instant verification service arranged by our customer service advisor. We will return the original document to you after verification.

We may ask for other documents on a case by case basis.

  • China: Notarial Certificate (notarization: Death) issued by the Notary Public Office
Certified true copy of proof of cause of death
  • Macau: death proof issued by hospital or the Judiciary Police
  • China: resident death medical (inference) certificate
Certified true copy of proof of deregistration of ID card / residence
  • Hong Kong: deregistration proof of identity card issued by the Immigration Department
  • China: deregistration proof of residence issued by the Public Security Bureau and/or deregistration of deceased's permanent resident registration card of deceased's Household Register with an official stamp
