What is this about?

Multiplex Cinema Limited (MCL) was formed in 1982 to provide local audience with the best movie-going experience. MCL Cinemas currently manages 10 prime cinema sites and 51 screens in Hong Kong: 3 on the Kowloon Peninsula, namely the flagship cinema, Festival Grand Cinema, in Kowloon Tong, MCL Telford Cinema in Kowloon Bay and the newly opened MCL Cheung Sha Wan Cinema in Cheung Sha Wan; 3 on the Island side, which include Grand Windsor Cinema in Causeway Bay, MCL South Horizons Cinema in Ap Lei Chau and Grand Kornhill Cinema in Tai Koo; and 4 in the New Territories, including MCL Metro City Cinema, STAR Cinema in Tseung Kwan O, MCL Green Code Cinema in Fanling and Movie Town – New Town Plaza in Sha Tin.

AIA Vitality members can enjoy complimentary tickets to the movies by redeeming Reward Credits for MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher. All you need to do to earn Reward Credits is to exercise! For every 750 AIA Vitality points you earn in a calendar month by tracking exercise, you can earn one Reward Credit which can be used to select one MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher. What you need to know

AIA Vitality members can earn up to 2 Reward Credits per calendar month based on the number of exercise points earned.

 

  • For every 750 exercise points you earn in a calendar month, you can earn one Reward Credit (maximum 2 Reward Credits earned per month).
  • One Reward Credit can be used to select one MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher.
  • If you earn the maximum number of points for fitness-related activities (15,000 AIA Vitality Points) within a membership year, you will receive 2 reward credits each month for the rest of your current AIA Vitality membership year.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher is a reward choice only available to AIA Vitality Hong Kong members who have achieved Platinum status.
  • Each reward credit expires in 3 months after the end of the month in which the qualifying AIA Vitality Points were earned (e.g. 750 AIA Vitality Points = 1 reward credit was earned on 15 May 2021. The reward credit expiry date is 31 August 2021).
  • Once reward credit is selected in your Rewards of AIA+ mobile app, you will see the MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher code and have 90 days to redeem the movie ticket at MCL Cinemas' box office. All movie credits that are past the expiry date are not retrievable.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion offers or discounts and cannot be exchanged for cash or other denominations.
  • One MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher can be used to redeem one 2D movie ticket. You will need to pay a surcharge for including but not limited to:
    • 3D, MX4D, RealD Cinema (3D), Onyx Cinema LED
    • K11 Art House IMAX/House 12
    • Long duration
    • Under any other special cases (e.g. Movies with special engagement with film distributors and designated movies)

  • MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Voucher can be used to redeem one 2D movie ticket at the box office of all MCL Cinemas. You may visit MCL Cinemas website to check the cinema details.
  • Cross-site ticketing service is not available at box office in MCL Cinemas.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Voucher is not redeemable via website, mobile application, kiosk and phone ticketing.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Voucher is not applicable to K11 Art House Black Box/House 11, Festival Suite of Festival Grand Cinema, two-seaters of MCL Cyberport Cinema, film festivals, alternative programs, live broadcast programs, venue rental or group bookings and films with special arrangement with film distributors.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher is only applicable to the shows on or before the expiry date (e.g. if the MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher expires on 15 May 2021, member cannot use it to purchase ticket in advance on 16 May 2021, even if the purchase is made before 15 May 2021).
  • No refund will be made regardless of the ticket value of the ticket redeemed.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher can be used once only and any copy is invalid. A maximum of 4 MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher can be used to redeem tickets of the same show.
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher will expire automatically after it is redeemed. The expired MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher cannot be reused or reissued. Any attempt to fraud will bring forth criminal prosecution and civil claim.
  • If there is ambiguity of validity of this e-Gift Voucher, the version under MCL Cinemas ticketing system shall prevail. For any enquiries of invalid MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher, please contact AIA Ambassador at 2232 8282 (Hong Kong).
  • MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher is not for resale.
  • In case any cinema is closed temporarily due to construction, any special incidents or force majeure events or under expiry of tenancy, MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher is still applicable to other cinema locations.

  • MCL Cinemas reserves all rights to amend the terms and conditions and discontinue or terminate the use of this e-Gift Voucher without prior notice. If a new version of Terms and Conditions is released, this version will be replaced and the new version shall prevail.
  • MCL Cinemas reserves the right of final decision in case of any dispute.
  • If there are discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions of the terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
  • Your MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher will immediately expire upon the termination of AIA Vitality membership.

MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Voucher will be displayed in Rewards of AIA+ mobile app and can be spent the next time you visit MCL Cinemas.

 

Get Started

Step 1: Exercise and earn AIA Vitality Points to qualify
 
You will need to exercise and earn the required number of AIA Vitality Points to qualify for reward credits. You may also log in to AIA+ mobile app to check your reward credit balance and redeem them at any time. Don't forget that reward credits will expire in 3 months from the end of the month in which you earned the qualifying AIA Vitality Points, if you do not select the reward from your Rewards of AIA+ mobile app. Please check your account balance regularly.
 
Step 2: Redeem reward credits on AIA+ mobile app
 
Log in to AIA+ mobile app, click on "Rewards" tag > "Reward credits" tag > "Monthly Reward Credit" tag > select "MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Voucher" under "Reward credits". You will see the number of reward credits you can select. You may select the number of reward credits to be redeemed as MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Vouchers. The redemption will automatically be applied to the reward credits expiring first.
 
The MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Voucher will expire in 90 days from the date of selection or upon the termination of AIA Vitality membership. No reminder will be sent to you. Please check your account balance regularly.
 
Note: Once you have chosen the selected MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Vouchers, no exchange is allowed.
 
Step 3: Book movie tickets using MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Vouchers
 
You may redeem your MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Vouchers at the MCL Cinemas’ Box Office. Present your AIA Vitality membership card to MCL Cinemas’ Box Office to purchase a movie ticket using your MCL Cinemas 2D eGift Vouchers in the Rewards of AIA+ mobile app.
 
Note: You may consider paying additional charges to watch non-2D movie (e.g. 3D or MX4Dmovies etc) when booking movie tickets using MCL Cinemas 2D e-Gift Vouchers.
