Following the welcoming of its 500,000th visitor in March this year, “The Hong Kong Observation Wheel” presented by AIA achieves another milestone today with its number of visitors reaching a lucky number of 888,888. Since its re-opening five months ago, the Wheel has become a family attraction with strong growth in the number of visitors from Hong Kong citizens and overseas tourists.
Mr. Peter Crewe, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau said: “As the exclusive Principal Sponsor of ‘The Hong Kong Observation Wheel', AIA is delighted to witness the welcoming of the 888,888th visitor to the Wheel. We believe that we will soon reach the one million mark, which will enable us to celebrate our next milestone!”
“Through this sponsorship initiative, we are particularly proud that we enable local citizens and overseas tourists to enjoy spectacular views of Victoria Harbour from various angles at this incredible landmark on the Central Harbour Front. Meanwhile, the ‘AIA Vitality Park' next to the Wheel will continue to host a variety of health and wellness-related initiatives and events that the public can enjoy for free. Aimed at engaging the community and encouraging more people to embark on their health journey, these activities will also build on the positive energy and momentum of health and happiness among Hong Kong people, helping them to live healthier, longer, better lives.”
