AIA Pension and Trustee Co. Ltd. (“AIA MPF”) has been named as the “Best Companies to Work For Hong Kong 2017”¹ by the international authority of workplace culture and human resources management, Great Place to Work® Institute Greater China (“the Institute”). AIA MPF is the first financial institution in Hong Kong to ever be honoured with this accolade, underscoring its efforts to create and provide the best working environment for its employees.

According to the Institute, a great place to work is one in which “employees no matter who they are and what they do for the organization are having a consistently positive experience of trusting their leaders, enjoying the people they work with, and having pride in what they do”. The honour was given by surveying over 9,000 employees from 36 companies.

The Institute invited employees of participating companies to complete the independent Trust Index^© survey by scoring different aspects of the company they work for in order to evaluate its corporate culture and measure the underlying level of trust. Participating companies were also required to submit a Culture Audit^© questionnaire to elaborate on nine key human resources management practices. 

Two-thirds of the participating company's results were based on the Trust Index^© employee survey and one-third on the Culture Audit^© management questionnaire. Companies were awarded only if they achieved certain scores for both assessments. During the evaluation period, the Institute conducted several rounds of reviews to verify the collected data in order to ensure valid and accurate results.
